WA Socialists launched in 2025 with a clear mission: To build an unabashedly socialist party that fights for a world where the needs of people are put before the making of profits.

We need a radical alternative now more than ever. Caught between the growing cost of living, a housing crisis, and our deteriorating public services; people in WA are feeling squeezed by forces that feel beyond our control.

At the same time the mining industry and its mega-profits dominate the state. You don’t have to look far to see this. Their presence is everywhere, stamped onto our footy teams, arts spaces, and the very skyline of our city.

This state of affairs is one that the Labor Party, the Liberals, and One Nation are all too happy to maintain. While our public services have been left to languish, there has been no shortage of subsidies, tax breaks, and regulations overhauled to facilitate the profits of the mining industry.

WA Socialists is the party that wants to fight back against the horrors of capitalism. We want to build a party of activists and unionists, of troublemakers and rabble-rousers, of people who are sickened by the immense inequality that exists in our society and want to fight to transform it.
